The song "Nothing Else Matters" was the third single release of the black "Metallica" album and the first single release of the "S&M" album as "Nothing Else Matters '99" and both times it reached the top of the charts. The orchestration which can be heared in the song was directed by Michael Kamen who also directed and conducted the orchestration for Metallica's symphony shows. The video "Nothing Else Matters" was premiered on Mtv on February 26, 1992. The video which was directed by Adam Dublin consists of parts of the "A year and a half..." video tape which was shot during the recordings of the black "Metallica" album. "Nothing Else Matters" was inspired by one of Jaymz's ex-girlfriends, but in the meantime when he is looking back he doesn't know how. By now it means more to him that the song is about their fans. So, the song interpretation was assumed by simply dedicating to love ones.
